We neglected to properly welcome Elizabeth Qualia when she joined our team in the Fall—but maybe that was because Elizabeth has already been a member of our staff. In between receiving her BA degree from Hendrix College (which is also where Melissa Prycer went to school!) and heading to Grad School at Texas Tech, Elizabeth worked in Guest Services. It is such a pleasure to welcome her back! Today, Elizabeth serves as our Curatorial Assistant, assisting Evelyn in caring for the collection. Over the last several months, we've been doing a bit of reshuffling within some of our administrative staff positions. As is so often the case, it all starts with money. Last summer, when we started thinking about the budget, we started to ask some different questions. Like most organizations, personnel is the largest chunk to consider. Were we spending that money in the best, most efficient way? Were we getting the job done with the positions we had? We know we need to grow our staff (and suspect that growth is coming with our changing neighborhood), but we also know that wouldn't happen right away.
